Virtual Tenant Network (VTN) is a set of technology components that provide multi-tenant virtual network using the OpenDaylight controller. The VTN defines logical abstraction models (e.g. vRouter, vBridge, vTunnel) that enable the complete separation of logical plane from physical plane. The VTN provides mapping between logical and physical plane, which enable that users can design and deploy any desired network without knowing the physical network topology. The VTN also provides Northbound-API for application. The VTN enables that applications can develop without knowing the detail of physical plane’s complexity and program the network with Northbound-API. In this presentation, it is also discussed how OpenStack is integrated with VTN’s Northbound-API. This presentation provides live demo of VTN using multiple OpenDaylight controllers with OpenStack integration.
